Second generation reflexologist, Karen Philipsen Brown is passionate about reflexology and is determined as President of Reflexology NZ to see the practice grow with experienced Professional Reflexologists.
Having worked with the National Committee since 2013 in Marketing, VP and now President she coined the phrase “Let’s make Reflexology a Household Name” and with RNZ’s current team keeps this at the top of the agenda.
Reflexology New Zealand are a volunteer run organisation and we welcome anyone who can offer a skill set that will help us develop our passion, dedication and love of this natural therapy.

Christine, is a repeat Committee member, having been treasurer in 2016 to 2018. She set up the accounting system back then and is once again back at the helm. Christine has a passion for our reflexology community and is a very active member of the Auckland Group being their Treasurer for 25 years. Having overcome her challenge with dyslexia she assists others to tackle their own challenges. From frequent discussions she has discovered there are many dyslexics amongst us, to varying degrees, our new President included.
If you haven’t received your invoice or can’t find it, please email Christine.

I will attend to whatever comes into my email box - I will pass on correspondence, questions and concerns to the correct Committee person, help send out your shoutout's and newsletters, keep in touch with regional groups, organise continued support of our Sponsors for professional member discounts, am the point of contact for Bizcover (RNZ preferred insurance partner, how offer us discounted insurance) and other administration matters as they arise.
Please contact me if you have anything you want followed up or communicated to Council.
This is my first team on the RNZ Committee, as Membership Coordinator. In this new role I look forward to helping new and existing members with all matters to do with joining and staying connected to Reflexology NZ.
Please feel free to contact me with any queries.
I have been practicing Reflexology since 2002 for over 20 years and teaching just a few years less. As a Reflexologist my passion is for promoting holistic wellness and relaxation.
I taught Reflexology at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine (2004-2010) and now run my own school, the Canterbury School of Reflexology (2018 – current). I bring to council this year my experience of being an educator and also in previous years I have served on council as Secretary, Vice President and President. I am honoured to be a Life Member of Reflexology New Zealand and in 2017 was awarded Reflexologist of the year. After a break from being on council it is nice to be back and serving this community I regard as my family once again.
I am a lifelong student, frequently participating in professional development to keep my interest in learning new techniques fresh to enhance my practice and to inspire my students and other Reflexologists.
